This article goes through the life and works of Charles B. Thompson, his early influence in the Mormon church, and his later division from both Brigham Young and the Strangites. Thompson was a poet and rewrote many of W. W. Phelps' hymns to fit his own ideas, as shown in the group he founded, Jehovah's Presbytery of Zion. The article further explores the name and meaning of Baneemy in Thompson's beliefs.
