A biography of Mormon dissident Oliver H. Olney is presented. He was born in Eastford, Connecticut, on August 11, 1796. He married Alice Johnson in 1820 and joined the Mormon Church in 1831. He became an elder in the Church and later settled in the Mormon community of Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1842 he was charged for improper conduct and false prophecy by the Nauvoo High Council and was allegedly told to turn over his writings and records to the Church. Details on his writings are presented.
