The article examines the changes made in Church of Christ first president Joseph Smith, Jr.'s revelations in 1835 and how they related to a new condition. The article also examines Smith's history and how changes took place in the story of his visions. A handwritten manuscript book titled "A Book of Commandments & Revelations" in 2009, which had been in the possession of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since the 1830s, is said to have been published by the Church Historian's Press. Some examples of revisions in the 1835 Doctrine and Covenants are presented in numerical order of the sections.
