The article examines the British LDS participation in the Crimean War (1853–1856). It provides Mormon theological insights into how the Mormons viewed and reacted to the war. These early Latter-Day Saints viewed the war in a millenial apocalyptic point of view. Some believed it was God's retribution for the people's rejection of the Gospel of Christ.
