The essay presents the second entry in a roundtable discussion series, originally presented at the Mormon History Association's annual conference in 2013. This entry suggests that the academic discipline of comparative religion in regard to Asian religions in both history and theology could be useful to Mormon scholars in their research. Additional topics addressed include the concept of translation and defense against criticism of comparative studies in general.
