The article examines the history of the headquarters of the Reorganization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints (RLDS), located at Blanchardville, Wisconsin, during 1852 through 1860. It discusses the people who lived in the Blanchardville area prior to the organization of the Yellowstone Branch of the LDS and the creation of the Zarahemla Stake in 1853, which was recognized as the headquarters of the RLDS. The article examines the role of LDS missionary Zenas H. Gurley in the establishment of the Yellowstone Branch and the growth of the congregation. It also discusses the general and seminannual conferences held at Zarahemla in 1853, during which the article states the church formally organized and ordained several apostles including Gurley, Henry H. Deam, and George White.
