This article explores the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its relations with the educational system in Utah, particularly in regards to Dixie State College and other schools in the academy system. In the 1920's, these Church-owned schools were passed over to the Utah government, but it was not until 1933 that Dixie was officially handed over.
