The article discusses the history of the Mexico Missionary Training Center (MTC), a training institution for Mormon missionaries in Mexico City, Mexico. Particular focus is given to the campus' previous role as a Church-owned high school known as Benemérito de Las Américas and to its transition to an MTC. The author discusses several factors in the decision to make the transition, including changes in educational policy and financial concerns.
