The article discusses the international presence of the Mormon Church, with a particular focus on its representation in Mormon literature. The role that Mormon missionaries have played in the growth of Mormon Church membership throughout the world is discussed. The interactions between American and non-American Mormons in literature, including in the books "On the Road to Heaven," by Coke Newell and "The Tree House," by Douglas Thayer and short story "Quietly" within the book "Long After Dark: Stories and a Novella," by Todd Robert Petersen, are discussed. Mormon missionary literature is also discussed.
