After serving as a delegate in Congress, Frank J. Cannon became a vocal critic of the LDS Church and its leaders. At the same time, Reed Smoot, prominent Mormon Apostle and and senator, was put on trial for associating with polygamy. Cannon voiced his opinions in the Salt Lake Tribune, selections of which are included here.
