Simón walks us through various generations and into a new millennium. Members of this Mexican family travel from the cradle of Mormonism in Mexico to the peak of Salt Lake City spirals. The sound of a train whistle dictates a turn of events for this pioneer family. A blend of Spanish blood and Nahuatl-speaking Aztec spirits. They seek to learn from the faults and strengths of their ancestors; a people who walked and talked with the resurrected Christ. They eventually end up in the pathway city of El Paso, Texas; the very same city through which families from the Mormon Colonies in Mexico stay in voluntary exile during the Mexican revolution of 1910, sought refuge. This was also said to be the very same city through which people from the Book of Mormon had crossed into Mexico.
