The article also names the dates on which the witnesses, who included Mormons David Whitmer, Oliver Cowdery, and Martin Harris saw the plates. The article discusses the translation process of the "Book of Mormon" conducted at the home of Fayette Township, New York, resident Peter Whitmer.
