The report of an interview with Governor George Romney in Salt Lake City on 23 August 1967. The questioning concerned the personal significance and political relevance of his Mormonism, the relationships of state and federal governments vis a vis the Constitution, the effect of his faith in relation to the ideals of American life, its social problems, collective bargaining, and relations with the USSR and Red China. Romney summarized: 'Living the gospel of Jesus Christ has as its prime purpose the perfection of all mankind through individual effort and divine aspiration. . . . Our concern universal.'
