This article investigates the relations between Mormons and Presbyterians, specifically Presbyterian missionaries in 19th-Century Utah. Incidences in which Presbyterians are harassed by Mormons through death threats, vandalism, and arson are discussed. Additionally, Brackenridge discusses the effects of social shunning in a Presbyterian setting as well as Presbyterian pastor Robert G. McNiece.
