In this article, Hardy discusses problems that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will face, particularly in terms of missionary work and personal scholarship, if they preserve the practice of adhering solely to the King James Version of the Bible. Hardy mentions several newer biblical translations and the benefits that could come through their use. Hardy proposes a solution of retaining the King James Version as the official translation of the Bible of the LDS Church, but encouraging the use of alternative translations for supplementary study.
