Known to his family as "Uncle Bud," Clarence D. Taylor was the sixth of eight children of Arthur N. Taylor and Maria Dixon; lived in South Africa in the 1930's as an missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; served in the U.S. Army during World War II; graduated from BYU in 1936 in Business Administration; worked in family furniture business, Dixon-Taylor-Russell Company (Provo, Utah), until 1964; and retired from BYU Bookstore in 1974. Information is included about the Lake Resort Provana; about the Wildwood Resort in Provo Canyon; about the Brickerhaven Country Club; about the Bonneville Development Corporation which developed the hills east of Provo; about the construction of Taylor Terrace, east of the Provo Temple; about the Taylor Family Trust.
