Richard E. Bennett explores the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith in the years 1820-1829. He feels that this was a training period for Joseph for his future ministry. Bennett particularly talks about Smith's visions of the Angel Moroni, and what Moroni had to say to him. Bennett then talks about Martin Harris and the lost manuscript incident. Finally, Bennett talks about the conversion of Oliver Cowdery and his assistance in the Book of Mormon translation process. Throughout this article Bennett emphasizes repentance and forgiveness which the Prophet Joseph Smith learned during this time.
