Seferovich discusses many of the missionaries who served in the mission, the conditions in the South at the time, and violence that missionaries faced.|In this letter, Howells chronicles many of the events that took place early in his mission. He specifically discusses his difficulty leaving his family, the persecution he met with in France, the treatises he distributed, and various occasions when people were baptized.
