In this article, Takagi offers an analysis of the 1909 translation of the Book of Mormon. Takagi discusses the choice of style, the methods and people involved in revising the work, the literary value of the work, and the accuracy of the translation. The author focuses on analyzing the work's balance of naturalness and fidelity to the original, and concludes that in many respects the 1909 edition is a superior translation.
