England describes the overarching goal of Joseph and Hyrum Smith during the restoration of the Church. After Joseph's vision in the Sacred Grove in which he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, he aimed "to return that presence and to bring as many as would come with him." This goal kept both Joseph and Hyrum focused on their mission throughout their lives.
