This article gives a brief description of Polynesian immigration to Utah. The author focuses on the immigration of Hawaiian Saints to Salt Lake City. Due to cultural tensions, Hawaiian immigrants founded a Mormon colony southeast of the Great Salt Lake in Skull Valley. The colony, named Iosepa, became largely uninhabited after the announcement of temple construction in Laie, Hawaii.
