L. Douglas Smoot tells the story of the original gate made of wrought iron and set into limestone that stood at the entrance to the Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah. When the Academy was remodeled (1994-2001) the gate were not replaced. Smoot found it in a orchard. The gate was reinstalled in 2004-2005 and dedicated May 4, 2005. Photos of how the gate looked originally and how the reinstalled gate looks now are included.
