Woods gives a brief historical account of the Liverpool and Great Western Steamship company, more commonly known as the Guion Line. This line transported over 40,000 converts from England to the United States during the 19th century. Woods also gives a brief explanation of George Ramsden, an executive with the Guion line who facilitated this transportation.
