In this article, John Hamer displays several maps which show settlement patterns and Church History highlights in Caldwell County, Missouri, for the short time the saints were there (1838-1839). He documents these locations with a display of Caldwell County as it was with part of the American grid that began with the Federal Land Ordinance of 1785. Hamer also discusses who purchased land in Caldwell County during this period of time as shown by land records. He then presents future research ideas concerning Caldwell County.
