Since 1841, the Holy Land has been dedicated eleven different times by General Authorities of the LDS Church. The authors outline the contents of these dedicatory prayers, and include a comparative table listing what items are mentioned or not mentioned in each prayer. Each dedication was slightly different, and provides insight into the purposes that each of the Authorities had in traveling to the Holy Land. The article also provides a window into the events and concerns of the times.
