In this lecture Arrington discusses humor as an expression of the subconscious, a form of cruelty, an outlet for our fears, a mechanism for coping with life's ironies and difficulties, and a shared social experience. He then demonstrates with many anecdotes how Mormon humor, past and present, is an expression of these different types of humor.
