This book covers the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the chapter "Joseph Smith, Junior, and Mormonism" on pages 133-185. The book describes Joseph Smith and his family as lazy, unintelligent, and dishonest using testimonies of residents of Palmyra and Manchester, and it describes Joseph Smith as money-digging through spells and rituals. It also credits Sidney Rigdon as the true founder of the Church. The gold plates, Kirtland, Missouri, and important Church figures in a similarly negative light.
