Panek gives an overview of the Polynesians who migrated to Utah and lived in the Iosepa Colony. He discusses some of the struggles they faced and how it began as a struggle to survive. Panek tells how they overcame it and eventually Iosepa became a thriving community and became a gathering place for LDS immigrants from the South Pacific.
