Kim Ostman discusses missionary work in Finland during the early 1980's. During that time, leftist newspapers, ex-Mormons and others said that the Church was a cover for spying by the CIA. There was extensive coverage of this in Finnish newspapers. Ostman concludes that although the Cold War is over, and Finland entered the European Union on January 1, 1995, Finnish suspicions about the motives of the Church may still exist.
