The Old Testament Manuscript 3 (OT3), a copy which John Whitmer transcribed from the originally dictated version of the Book of Moses, was not used by Joseph Smith in the creation of his New Translation. The OT3 contains several differences from the original, some of which seem to be errors of transcription and others which appear to be editing by John Whitmer. Jackson and Faulring provide a history of the manuscript as well as its entire text.
