Having also arrived in Alberta as a result of persecution, Latter-day Saints were a significant factor in the Japanese-Canadians coming to southern Alberta when many other Canadian communities rejected them during World War II. Iwaasa, a Japanese-Canadian and a Latter-day Saint, discusses the positive relationship between the two groups that began in the 1940s.
