Doctrine of celestial marriage explained to him by Joseph Smith. Political mission to Ohio, 1844. To Nauvoo after martyrdom. Illness at Garden Grove, Iowa. Baptized for health. President of Pisgah settlement, 184748. Had married four wives in Nauvoo Temple: Mary Adaline [Goddard], Charlotte [Squires], Sarah Ann [Prichard], and Harriet Amelia [Squires].
