June 11, 1855 to September 11, 1855. Elder Milo Andrus releases an ailing Captain Blair and replaces him with Elder Edward Stevenson. He describes a cholera outbreak in which four men die. He details the creations of a committee to disperse the property of those killed by cholera and lists the inventory of several deceased individuals. He notes a conflict due to Brother Stevenson allowing a group to depart early, leaving the rest of the camp behind. After calling a council to reconcile Stevenson's acts with the camp's wishes, the camp departs on better terms. Erastus Snow visits the camp on August 29. The journal ends when most of the company arrives in the Salt Lake Valley in September 1855.
