November 1, 1866-March 11, 1905. Davies and his family settle in Kanarra, Utah. His wife dies and he marries Elizabeth Williams. Davies writes poems about most of the things that happen to him, including a tribute to his deceased wife. He celebrates the creation of the State of Utah and frequently visits Cedar City and the surrounding mountains. Kanarra is hit by an earthquake and Davies reflects at length about his life. Joseph F. Smith and others visit Kanarra.
