He reviews some of the teachings of Joseph Smith and statements of Church leaders during the Utah polygamy period responding to the deprivation of religious liberty. He also reviews some prophecies by Church leaders envisioning a glorious time when the world will flock to see how the Saints administer government and politics. He contends that Saints have not yet lived up to their prophetic potential because they tolerate political violence and they are politically apathetic. He offers some suggestions for participating in the political process and in government service
