Both Jehovah's Witnesses and Latter-day Saints share in common a quest to revive authentic Christianity. Nevertheless they are vastly different from each other. The author focuses on the doctrines and theological issues of each organization. He examines the respective notions of authority, prophecy, views of time and space, priesthood, rites and festivals, etc. In measuring what constitutes authenticity for mainstream Christian denominations, the author concludes that the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are both 'inauthentic expressions of the Christian faith.'
