Joseph Smith has been criticized for making up the names found in the Book of Mormon. One critical scholar, however, stated that Smith must have been some kind of religious genius to have included two Egyptian names in close connection with a reference to the original language being Reformed Egyptian. The authors discussed Hebrew Book of Mormon names that give credence to Joseph translating the book rather than authoring it himself.
