Wells details the various attacks made by the Anti-Mormon party. These attacks started in the early 1870s, continued strongly in the 1880s and produced the Idaho Test Oath, collapsed in 1890 following the Manifesto and internal squabbles, and gave one last gasp in the early 1900s.
