The story of how William Weeks's 1840s Nauvoo Temple architectural drawings were found by missionaries serving in the California Mission in 1948 is recounted in great detail. The Griffin family donated the drawings to the Church and they became a valuable resource in the historical reconstruction of the temple. Initially the Griffin family was not being credited with having preserved and donated the drawings, but events unfolded to correct that mistake.
