In 1993 at age 84, Christensen penned this autobiographical sketch. He described himself as a family sociologist. He chronicled his youth in southeastern Idaho, having been reared in a Mormon family. His father and brother enjoyed making one of the early ascents of the Grand Teton. He described attending Ricks College in the late 1920s, going on a mission to New Zealand, and getting his bachelors degree from BYU. Afterwards he was offered a teaching position at BYU and concurrently obtained a masters degree. He describes the programs he implemented in his field while teaching at BYU and the lecturing he did during the war. He spoke out publicly against racial antagonism directed towards Japanese internees working in Provo. He discusses articles and manuals that he wrote for the Church. In 1947, he left BYU and headed the sociology department at Purdue. He describes some of his research on premarital sex and books he authored
