The genealogies developed for the Mormon Historical Demography Project, consisting of 180,000 computerized genealogies, were analyzed with regard to birth intervals and family limitation in Utah in the 19th-century. Among other conclusions, the study demonstrated that birth intervals generally increased with subsequent children.
