The author gives a very personal side of Joseph Smith's experience concerning the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. Observes that the translation of the Book of Mormon was a great period of training for the young prophet of God. There were two other purposes—to teach the gospel to the native inhabitants of America and to reinforce the teachings of the New Testament and make them easy to understand.
