Macpherson, James; translation
-
The translator's influence is apparent in a text because of his/her choice of words. The Book of Mormon is no different. Compares Joseph Smith to fiction writer James Macpherson who fraudulently claimed to have translated ancient Celtic poetry. The fraudulent author will inadvertently give himself away by his cultural perspectives that cannot be viewed out of context. Joseph Smith was not the author of the book but merely the translator.
