parallelisms, antithetical
-
The writer of Proverbs 13:9 uses contrasting elements to emphasize an idea. The same technique is found in Alma 5:40, 9:28, and 36:21 and other Book of Mormon scriptures. Such antithetical parallelisms invoke the readers’ involvement and teach them about opposite ideas in the Book of Mormon.
