The homepage gives a brief overview about the composer’s life. The first tab provides biographical information, notable events, and photographs. The list of compositions is divided by ensemble: orchestra, piano and orchestra, voice(s) and orchestra, bells, organ, voice and organ, voice and piano, chamber ensemble, and piano. Works are then listed chronologically. A composition’s individual page gives more details, including manuscript length and location, further comments, and regarding any recordings, performances, or broadcasts. It also provides downloadable PDF editions of scores from the Sorabji Archive. The site also compiles a table showing the progress of how many of Sorabji’s compositions have been edited, performed, and/or recorded. There are also first editions of a few of his works for sale. The Writings tab lists copies of books, chapters, and other writings by Sorabji for sale, as well as a few first editions. The Catalogue links back to the pages for compositions and other writings, and it leads to a discography of albums listed in chronological order. The discography provides the titles of the album and pieces, names of the performers, and publishing details. This information is also found on an album’s individual page, along with reviews. After additional tabs for first editions and recordings, there is an alphabetical index (by last name) of all performers of Sorabji’s works, each linking to a page indicating which pieces and performances he or she was involved in. A smaller alphabetical list of performers is found on the left; these connect to their biographies. The Books and Articles tabs list and describe writings about Sorabji’s life and work. The extensive bibliography is divided alphabetically. The News page contains blog posts about upcoming performances and new editions of the composer’s music. There is also a current online forum. The Sorabji Archive page contains an introduction, a menu for the catalogue, pages explaining format of the editions and how to order materials from the archive, a list of acknowledgements, and a donation request page. Finally, there are informative pages about Marc-André Hamelin and Alistair Hinton, along with a sitemap, contact page, and other helpful links.
