Subtitled, since its appearance in November 1865, as weekly music magazine, since October 13, 1866 it will be as magazine of theaters and, since the 27th of this month and year, as weekly magazine of music and theaters, reflecting the changes in its content. It was only published during the concert season, that is, from October to May, appearing on Saturdays in eight-page issues. Its first editor-owner is Mariano Tancredi, being replaced at the beginning of the second season by Narciso Martínez, who will also appear as director. The publication deals with concerts and other musical events in the theatres of Madrid, especially the Teatro Real, but also in the Spanish provinces and the main European capitals. It includes scientific articles on ancient and modern music and critics of the performances. It also provides information on the National Conservatory of Music and the lyric companies, as well as philharmonic news. It also publishes biographies of the most eminent poets, teachers, actors and singers, as well as texts of plays. From October 27th 1866, under its headline, it gives the full list of its collaborators. In addition to Narciso Martínez, texts by Juan Alonso y Eguilaz, Augusto Anguita, Ángel Avilés, Francisco Asenjo Barbieri and Eusebio Blasco, among others, will appear.
