In the first tract: Crowel's letter of 1842, p. 1–2; Spencer's answer, p. 3–12. Letters by Orson Spencer, 4p. each with caption title and subject. Published separately. Crowel wrote Spencer (as a friend and editor of the Christian Watchman) on October 21, 1842, and Spencer replied, Nauvoo, November 17, 1842. It was first published in the Times and Seasons, January 2, 1843. The second to twelfth letters were published in Millennial Star, May 15–November 15, 1847. Letter no. 5 is erroneously dated 1842. Tract reprints advertised in Millennial Star, July 1, 1847, p. 208, and September 1, 1847, p. 265, when publication of first letter was announced. Contents: 1.
