The mission of the Washington University in St. Louis Libraries Publishing Program is twofold: to provide alternatives to traditional publishing avenues, and to promote and disseminate original scholarly work of the Washington University community. Washington University Libraries began publishing ETDs in 2009, and in 2011, we launched the Open Scholarship repository to continue ETD publication, to provide a platform for the open access re-publication of faculty articles, and to provide for original publication of online journals and monographs. Since the launch of Open Scholarship, we have expanded into undergraduate honors theses and presentations, and have begun publishing monographs.
