Journal written by Elizabeth Wood Kane, a transcript of the journal that she kept while in St. George, Utah, compiled by Kane, with notes by Elisha Kent Kane, and her husband, Thomas L. Kane. The journal contains her observations of Mormon pioneers, including Mormon-Indian relations, the Female Relief Society, Mormon worship services and sermons, polygamy, agriculture and Utah territory's natural environment. The journal was written between December 25, 1872 to March 10, 1873.
