Diary written by Huntington between 1858 and 1880. Entries describe his move to Springville, Utah, his call to settle in Saint George and return to Springville, a journey to San Bernardino, his work as a miner in Utah, and abandonment of mining and return to teaching school. Records his memories of specific teachings by Joseph Smith in Missouri, and his participation in Church service. Describes his spiritual experiences and his calling to serve a mission to the Pawnee and Sac and Fox Indians. Also includes genealogical information on the Huntington family. Volume contains pasted clippings on an explosion in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1876, and a tipped in pamphlet on polygamy. Includes references to Joseph Smith, John Smith, Hyrum Smith, Zina and Presendia Huntington, George A. Smith, Brigham Young, and John Taylor.
